Superior Slopeside @ 123

We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this property to others. It was perfect for our family of four (our kids are elementary age so the pullout bed worked great for our needs). The unit is clean, the kitchen is spacious, the unit's updates are charming and cozy, and the first floor access (with close parking and pool just downstairs) made for a wonderful vacation. We especially appreciated the communication and flexibility of the property manager/owner. Due to winter storms throughout the region, we had to make some late adjustments to our plans. This process was easy and stress free. We have now stayed in the Caribou Lodge on back-to-back spring break vacations (two different units) and certainly plan to come back.

Not sure I’ll be back to Lutsen but if I am, I would choose this unit again! Positive: Love the ski in and ski out feature! It was really nice being in the same building as the pool but wow that was a busy place! Each building could probably have its own hot tub! Negative: We paid quite a bit of money for dinner at Moguls and the food was terrible. The burger was overdone and dry. There really aren’t many dining options so they really overcharge you there. Also the staff at Lutsen chalets were so lackluster and limited. Lutsen just isn’t the same appeal as it used to be. I know that isn’t the unit owner’s fault but just a reflection on the general area.

Wonderful experience, great location! Positive: It was really fun to ski in and out, the proximity to the restaurant and pool and hot tub was also wonderful. The unit itself had enough towels, bedding and fully stocked kitchen. Negative: It’s a little rough around the edges, paint wearing off cabinets and bathroom walls. The fan in the bathroom was really loud as was the upstairs neighbors and it woke us up when they turned it on.

Great communication and clean accommodations that were furnished adorably and with all we needed for a great, comfortable stay. Thank you!
